Navigating the Road to Lymphatic Health

Your lymphatic system is an essential part of your immune system. Its designed to keep your internal fluids balanced, and it’s a major defender against infections. In short, your lymphatic system:

  • cleanses
  • moves waste OUT of your body
  • flushes out metabolic waste
  • eliminate stress & lowers your acidic stress hormones (cortisol)

Your lymphatic vessels, collecting ducts, tissues, and organs drain extra lymph fluid that leaks into your tissues from tiny blood vessels (capillaries). If your lymphatic system doesn’t work right or is blocked, you’ll end up with extra fluid in your tissues. That fluid  build up can cause swelling, and it can cause a breakdown in the body’s immune system. This means we are more prone to infections. If the swelling is chronic, (lymphedema) its normally seen in the arms and legs. But this swelling can occur elsewhere in the body.

To help unblock the fluid retention, there are a number of methods that can be used, primarily, lymphatic massage, compression, exercise, physical therapy and antibiotics.

At ETHR LAB we utilize 2 state of the art technologies to address lymphatic health: Compression Suit and Compressive Microvibration device.

The Compressive Microvibration is called Endosphere. It’s a system performed with a device with 55 silicone spheres, generating low frequency mechanical vibrations. This non-invasive treatment can be performed on the entire body, or in the areas where fluid retention has formed. As added benefits, it improves blood circulation and reduces the appearance of cellulite, tones the body, and in some cases, removes cellulite completely along with dress sizes.

The sustained vibration is also shown to help with pain and inflammation, stimulating mechanoreceptors, critical for pain reduction.Since it is non-invasive, its not painful and is an excellent alternative to surgically removing cellulite, with no down time.

Our second treatment is a Ballancer Pro lymphatic compression suit. It is FDA approved and considered the “Rolls Royce” of lymphatic massage. This gentle, relaxing massage drains the lymph nodes first, and paves the way for the most enhanced circulation and flush-out of our lymph.  As the treatment sequence progresses the suit applies precisely calibrated compression from the extremities into the thoracic area for revolutionary results.

The Ballancer Pro is also used by athletes to help recover after training or competitions, as well as people who are suffering from inflammation. You don’t need to be an elite athlete to reap the benefits of it. Because of its design, its superior to your standard compression boot technology as the lower body garment covers the entire glute and hip, as well as your abdominals.

Additionally, lymphatic drainage protocols have great aesthetic benefits as well:

  • can reduce the appearance of cellulite
  • firms and tones the skin
  • improves skin glow and helps flush out toxins for a better result in combination with any facial
  • increases skin elasticity (post pregnancy/weight loss)
  • clients complete their session feeling relaxed and rejuvenated
  • stimulation of dermal and subdermal circulation
  • increases oxygen levels in the blood flow and nourishment to tissue
  • accelerates the removal of waste products from fat metabolism
  • visibly helps shaping the waist, abdomen, buttocks, hips & thighs
  • helps to reduce weight by volume-loss (2-3 sessions per week)

Lymphatic health is essential for maintaining overall wellness, as the lymphatic system plays a crucial role in the body’s immune response and fluid balance. It consists of a network of lymph nodes and vessels that help remove toxins, waste, and other unwanted materials from the body. Good lymphatic health can also be supported by regular physical activity, proper hydration, and a balanced diet rich in antioxidants. Practices such as Dry Brushing can also help stimulate lymph flow, reduce swelling, and promote detoxification, as service we have available at our ETHR LAB Spa service offerings. Maintaining a healthy lymphatic system can contribute to improved immunity, reduced inflammation, and better energy levels.
