WHAT TO EXPECT

One of our wellness coaches will check you into your Hyperbaric Oxygen chamber station, where you take off your shoes and store your belongings. You will have a choice to use an oxygen mask or a cannula. They will assist you in getting comfortable laying in the chamber, hand you a cozy blanket, and help you with your oxygen supply choice. Feel free to bring your electronic device or a book for entertainment. Our chambers are equipped with a two-way communication system and a call button if you have any questions during your treatment. Our coaches will assist you during the therapy to make sure you are comfortable and will be happy to answer any questions.

You will breathe 100% oxygen and relax during the treatment. It is normal to feel pressure in the ears during your compression and decompression stages. Please let our wellness coaches know if you experience any serious discomfort in the ears.

Your wellness coach will come during your decompression stage and wait for the glass door to release. They will help you getting out of your chamber. Please take your time getting your shoes on and gathering your belongings. Complementary water bottles will be available for you at the front desk. You can resume your normal daily activities.

What should I wear for my Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy session?

Keep it comfy with loose and cozy attire. We do recommend that you avoid scented fragrances and lotions, as well as heavy jewelry.

How should I spend my time in the Hyperbaric Chamber?

Take it easy and unwind! Feel free to nap, listen to music, read a book, or engage in meditation. You can bring your electronic devices for work or entertainment. We also have a small library of wellness books for you to choose from.

Is it possible to utilize HBOT for general health and wellness?

Of course, our chambers are designated wellness relaxation chambers and fit a wide range of clients. Despite low risks, this precaution helps minimize potential issues. Please consult your physician if you have any preexisting conditions, take medications, or follow any specific medical protocol.

How do your hyperbaric oxygen chambers differ from other medical chambers?

One atmosphere absolute, or 1 ATA, is the average atmospheric pressure exerted at sea level, or 14.7 psi. Two atmosphere absolute, or 2 ATA, is twice the atmospheric pressure exerted at sea level. Some medical chambers go up to 3.0 ATA and are designated as “medical” devices. Ours are not designated as such and do not go up to that level. Please discuss your appropriate ATA levels with one of our wellness coaches.

What is the difference between hard shell HBOT and mild HBOT?

The two components needed for effective HBOT are oxygen and pressure. A hard-sided chamber provides 100 percent oxygen at high pressure levels. Soft-sided chambers typically deliver 24 percent oxygen levels and can only go to 1.3 ATA. Our chambers are hard-sided with 100 percent oxygen levels and can go above that.

It is also important to note that our chambers have the highest ventilation levels of 280 LPM (liters per minute), while many budget alternatives on the market only average 90 LPM. This makes our chambers fresh, airy and cool, which aids in comfort and relaxation.

Can children use a hyperbaric chamber, and if so, from what age?

Absolutely! There’s no specific age restriction. However, for very young or elderly individuals, it’s advisable to have the hyperbaric therapy administered by an experienced chamber operator. Our chambers are roomy enough for a parent and a child, so please let our front desk know if you are planning to bring your children with you to experience the benefits of this therapy.

What are contraindications for hyperbaric oxygen therapy?

HBOT contraindications include but are not limited to: claustrophobia, optic neuritis, recent eye surgery, history of seizure disorder, congenital spherocytosis, viral infections, and chronic sinusitis.

Can I get out of the chamber before my session is over?

Yes, we are able to stop the session and get clients out for any reason. Please allow 5-10 minutes smooth decompression process to take place. In case of serious emergency, we can get clients out in less than 1 minute depending on their compression stage at the time.

How do I maintain results of my HBOT therapy sessions.

Typically, for best results, we advise clients to maintain their yearly HBOT wellness protocol. That includes, one week of daily HBOT session, with one-two days break in between. For serious conditions, protocols of 20+ sessions will be advised to see powerful results.
