One of our wellness coaches will check you into the cryotherapy room where you will have privacy to get undressed and get ready for your session. Your Cryo gear will be waiting for you in the room: headband, face mask, mittens, socks, and slippers. The coach will scan your before body temperature and help you select your music and chamber settings to get the best results out of your session.

DURING-TREATMENT

Our wellness coaches will always be there to assist you with your therapy, take pictures or videos as needed and cheer you on! Feel free to exit any time you need until you build up your endurance over time with more intense settings.

POST-TREATMENT

As you exit, your coach will quickly scan your body temperature again to check your results. You want to land somewhere between 25-30 degrees drop in body temperature from where you started. Take your time getting dressed, and recover. Don’t forget to snap a selfie to show off your awesome recovery routine!

Is your Cryotherapy customizable?

Our cryotherapy sessions are totally customizable. First, you select 1 of 4 levels of intensity:

Beginner: feels like -140F with light winds

Intermediate: feels like -150F with moderate winds

Cryo Pro: feels like -166F with high winds

Cry Extreme: feel like -175F with extreme winds

For session duration, choose 30 seconds-3.5 minutes long sessions and pick your start and end colors to guide you with your time progression. You will see the colors change as you go, to guide you when your session is coming to an end. At the end, your second color will flash and change to the first color choice, which means your session is up and you need to come out.

What is should I wear for cryotherapy?

The main thing is to make sure your clothes are dry, and you don’t want to have any exposed metal on your body, so please remove your jewelry and watches before you go in. To get the most benefits, you should aim to expose as much skin as possible, while keeping your jewels nicely covered! Other sensitive areas such as ears, nose and mouth, fingers and ankles should always be protected.

Do you lose weight after cryotherapy?

When should you not use cryotherapy?

  • Acute or recent myocardial infarction
  • Unstable angina pectoris
  • Severe hypertension (>180/100)
  • Peripheral arterial occlusive disease

Other contraindications for cryosurgery are conditions that can be exacerbated by cold exposure such as cryoglobulinemia, multiple myeloma, Raynaud disease, cold urticaria, previous history of cold induced injury at the site or limb, as well as poor circulation at the site or in that limb.

Is it better to do cryotherapy before or after a workout?

Recent research suggests that ice cooling immediately after exercise may reduce your body’s response to training. We recommend doing cryotherapy before training, 5+ hours after training, or on your recovery days.

Once you mastered your beginner levels for at least 2 minutes, try amping up your intensity levels first before you increase the duration of session. You need to try to land somewhere between 25-30 degrees in body temperature drop after your session.
